Digital Mess is the grphic design face of Michael Shores. More than a point of contact or an online portfolio, this site is an experiment in content via Michael's BLOG. Can a design website serves as an informative source for non-designers? Will clients be more apt to hire a designer based on access to interesting information? We will let you know.
This webpage uses no images, png's, or flash. In fact, the look of this site is entirely created by an outside style sheet. You can turn off style sheets in your web browser to see the basic content elements of the page. If you have done this, you can see that the entire look of this page is separate from the words in it. This is standard practice in web design. Check out CSS Zen Garden to see how the same page of text can be infinitely rearranged through strong CSS skills.
Aside from graphic design and web surfing, Michael is a musician, philosopher, astronaut, and guru...okay, that is not true, but he is a real stand up guy.
